I like this too. It deserves lots of views. The lack of detail in the flowers make the colors even more striking. The focused texture in the glass is interesting in that it's not often seen in images of flowers. I like the ambiguous look of the subject flowers.

This is a very nice evening shot. The Sony seems to be very good at this sort of imaging. I don't envy that you have all the snow in the streets though. I like the people moving around in the shot too.

This shot is precious. DOF is just right, and processing by burning the edges helps to bring focus to the little face in the foreground.

I have been looking around in your portfolio, and find that you have a unique way of seeing things, and that you like macro a lot. This shot is very nice with the choice of background. You seem to have learned to pay attention to the background in your shots, as it was distracting in a lot of your earlier images. It's getting much better as you grow with your camera hobby. This shot is an excellent study in texture and color, and composition.

All of the images in this group are like Christmas card shots. Thank you for sharing with us. I guess that scenes like this are one of the big perks for living in a city and where it snows. I would stay out shooting until I had frostbite if I lived in a place like this.

Rock Creek Power Station

I'm happy that I found this one. This is a very good scene, with man's construction transposed on a naturally beautiful place. Much to see and be interested in is included in this shot. Technically very good too. I like the lighting and processing. Good choice of shutter speed to show the speed of the discharge streams coming from the turbines.

Nov 15 - Morning frost

The B&W accents the frost crystals, so that is a good conversion. Nice textures in both the leaves and frost.
