Don't feel bad. I have one in a current challenge that may show up right next to this in the "lowest rated" images pages.
I see what you were shooting for here, but I think that I would have shot it from the other side, showing the potato, and with a little higher shutter speed. The voters don't seem to vote happy on images that don't have a strong subject that connects directly with the challenge description in their mind when they open the thumb. At least you got this out of the way now, and can get back to going after other ribbons.

The increased contrast helps the motion stand out. In the crop, I think that I would have left a little more of the image at the bottom to sort of anchor the scene. I see what you are seeing in this shot. It's a good "blur" image.

Good exposure to get the silhouette. If you do this again, try tungsten white balance, and it will give your photo very natural "moonlight" looking colors. Here's an example from my portfolio;
