Day Oneby ZeppKashComment: This is sweet! I like the way it looks like the pollen is moving from one stamen to the other. |

Velvert Staghorn Spore - Day 1by sherpetComment: Wow Shez! You jumped right into this challenge. The new lens seems to give you the reach you were needing to "shoot from the hip" so to speak, and get your amazing and insightful classy close ups of living growing things.
You found an angle to make the edge of the staghorn just jump off the screen. I have a big one too, about 20 years old, and I don't think it ever looked this good. |

***by datcatComment: This brings back some nice memories. One of my favorite toys when I was about 5 or 6 was one like this, built by "Dietz" company. I still think about it any time I smell kerosene burning.
The frame/border is right for this image too. |

Overlooking Larsens Beach -Day 29by slaaksoComment: That's a simple and elegant ocean/beach shot. I have enjoyed your images from the island in the "where you live" side challenge this last month. PM me anytime you want to say " aloha" as a friend. |

Day-29.jpgby KenComment: You chose the perfect filter for this shot. It looks like a greeting card shot. The ice makes it special. ETA/ Awesome mirror effect, both horizontal and vertical directions. That's just too cool. Message edited by author 2008-03-01 12:50:18. |

Day 29 - Insignificanceby photokariangelComment: I can tell that you have greatly enjoyed this SP side challenge, and your photos have gotten a lot of well deserved praise. By putting the images into a theme, you have connected them nicely with our human feelings and moods. Great job so far, and it will continue to get better as you gain experience. You already have the creativity. In this image, by transposing yourself and the first light on the backdrop of the city with all it's lights and people, you make the viewer think about what you are saying, even before reading the title. The line of lights going down the hill are a great leading line creating the unity with the background city. |

Day 28 - Magnetic Alphabetby wickee_oneComment: Great subject for a zoom shot! It looks like a combined flower and spider web in an abstract way. You can make the zoom swirl if you hold the zoom collar and twist the camera when you hit the shutter. It works best zooming from tele to wide with slow enough shutter to hold the first part of the exposure steady, then do the twist/zoom just before the shutter closes.
This is a very pretty image. It also looks like I would imagine the inside of a living cell would look. |
