Dove Trioby patio127Comment: Lovely shot. The reflected light from the snow below them lights up their whole puffy little bodies. They are one of the most pleasant of birds to have around. |

WotRUlookinat.jpgby jomariComment: Nice pose, and the frame of the reeds is nice too. That's an interesting story about the quarry. They have many quarries here. They dig the rock for roads ect, then when the hole is completed, they build homes around it and sell it as waterfront property.
I hope that all the workers got out safely when it flooded. |

Dopey Lookby phase3Comment: Pretty Hyacinth Macaw! These birds are so big and usually they are also very sweet and social. It's not easy to capture the true glow of their feathers, but you did a nice job of that with this shot. I like the X composition in this shot. |

Evening Greetingsby phase3Comment: This is a beautiful shot of this Cara Cara/ Mexican Buzzard, the bird on Mexican coins. We have these in the wild in S W Florida, but they are not easily approached for photos. After 3 years, I am still trying to get a good clear shot of one up close at eye level instead of up into the sky from 60 ft.
They are nice to see when they are flying. They look almost like small eagles. |

Manfred Von Richtofenby GiorgioBaruffiComment: This is a good flight shot. I like the way the feathers seem to blend the back of it's head into it's body in this photo. It is interesting that the flight feathers in it's wing are all different colors.

a-touch-of-gold.jpgby vawendyComment: You got an unusual angle on the wings in this shot, and by lining the body up with the plane of focus, managed to get the entire body to come out sharp. The bokeh is excellent for the subject, and the cell walls of the wings stand out nicely with the overhead light. It's a very nice macro, and a pleasing subject to look at.

Dry Bread - Week 5by lunachickenComment: That intense eye seems to be the focal point in this for me. Nice contrasty shot, and, with drops too! : ) |

Looking Backby scooter97Comment: Nice! Even in the winter time, it's not easy to get a clear view of a deer in trees like this. You had good light too. |
