7by scooter97Comment: The timing is spot on in this shot. It's hard to time your shots to get the fire like this with these old cannons because the action does not always happen right when they touch the fire to the touch hole. With the melon musket, I can time the shots by watching the trigger rope, and shoot just as it comes tight. |

Sunday Evening BMXby QikiComment: The straight line of the top of a wall going right through the top of the biker's head probably dinged this a lot in voting. Had he been a little lower or you a little higher, you could have cropped the bright area out, and it would be much more voter friendly. It's still a good, well exposed pan shot. Focus and following were spot on. |

Spiky Fishby LadyKComment: These are beautiful but dangerous little fish. The black background and top lighting bring out the wonderful colors in this specimen. Nice shot. |

Traffic Nightmareby scooter97Comment: The negative luminosity effect in this gives the details in the buildings a lot of contrast and brings out things that would not be noticed in the original shot. It's almost like an IR shot overlaid with a visible light layer to get the colors. |

#4 construction outby bladComment: It was a good idea to convert this to the duotone. I like the connection between the foreground and top patterns, and that you got construction and destruction (behind the light pole) in the same shot. The people on the overhead walk add scale and interest to the shot too. |

22 Wakato Bridgeby ordinaryangelComment: I am wondering what happens to the road at the right hand end of the bridge?
You have a good sky for this, echoed in the water, and a good leading line with the handrail from the foreground. |

June 22 - Snailby hajekaComment: High key seems to bring out the details in the shadows nicely in these shots. |

The Neighboursby GregoryBComment: Looks like a history sort of shot. The trashed edge at the bottom is great for this. The image looks like it has been through a fire or some water disaster. It's a good twist on something that needed a twist to make it happen. |
