It took me a second to find the one that is hiding. Animals are such an interesting thing to have around. Lighting and processing is fine in this shot.

Good tools make for better finished product. It's amazing what we will spend just to get a nice creamy smooth sky LOL! I'm happy for ya' about having the new equipment. I remember when I started using the S3, and could shoot at night with ease, which was a big change from the old Canon FTb and 35mm film. I was thrilled because that is the best time of day for me.

By the distortion in the corners, and flash coverage, this looks like a wide angle shot, and you were up pretty close. Is the softness in the foreground intentional? I sometimes breathe on the lens to get that effect, and shoot when it looks right as the condensation evaporates.
It's a scene of smiles and a happy time, so the effect fits nicely.

This looks very festive. I like the three layers, flowers, faces, then background of palms and the wall. I like the color combination in the flowers too. Nice composition.

I like this one. The way the ray of light on the water isolates the one subject, and the barely visible horizon are the good points. I don't see any stars, and there are other people on the beach, so I feel that this may be a daytime shot. It looks great though, the way you have it here.
