Great details in this photo. The bug looks like it has barnacles LOL.

Light, focus, and depth of field are all just perfect in this photo.
We have very similar bugs here. They are attracted to certain sounds, like compressed air discharging through a blow gun, like the ones used to clean and dry machine parts.

A good find, and you got it too. I hope that you get to watch to see if it hatches.

So far so good! I hope you get many years of enjoyment and a lot of great photos from your new "eye on the world". A good macro lens makes the hunt for good photos a much shorter trip.

It's good that you found the frog on a background that does not compete with the frog for attention. I enjoy that you post the names of the creatures that you photograph.

Comment:
The f38 giving the overall focus makes this different, because there are not a lot of daisy macro shots with the entire image in focus. I could never get one to be that still for 1/2 sec. A little tinker with levels and contrast might give this a bigger impact for most people. I like the subdued, not over saturated look.

Too much mascara : )
The super shallow DOF in this strongly accents the area that you were interested in sharing.

Your little bowls and your choices for background paper colors are making a very pleasing series out of your berries and veges series.
