Now this is the sort of shot I was thinking on when I first proposed the challenge. Lot's of individuals busy doing they're own thing and in the midst of it an individual that is clearly 'in' the crowd, but not part of it. They are in fact quite alone.

invokes the challenge title nicely - he's very much alone and the crowd in this case have to be represented by 'tokens' but to him at least they are very real. Not just white slabs but names, faces, laughs and mannerisms that we cant see and won't get to.

Nice shot and great colours - I would question whether she is feeling in any way 'alone' in that particular crowd though - by the look on her face she is delighted to be a part of it :- )

Well he's certainly in one huge crowd - the question is whether he is alone in it? or the centre of everyones attention - an almost messianic figure with one arm thrust heavenwards and a sea of hands reaching imploringly towards him.

He has become their focal point - The crowd want to embrace and assimilate him as their own. Which for me doesnt really convey the feeling of being alone.

Nice shot though - and great moment to capture.

Maybe you know more about this situation than the viewer does ? For all I know the red brick wall behind her might be the outside of a stadium that has 10,000 people in it . . but the problem is for me that it might also just be a brick wall. So I'm without a crowd for her to be alone in. Sorry.
