Hi There!!!!!by fantomfotoComment: Nice title - fits the expression perfectly.
This is obviously the presenter of 'Reptiles have got Talent' a twice weekly show that is seen around the local Zoo's and is hoping to break through onto Discovery.
Here we see Mickey the Monitor Lizard opening the show and introducing tonights acts while wearing his sequined green suit . . . a style that never goes out of fashion in the Lizard world.

Cheetahby trevytrevComment: Blimey - He seems to be saying "What are you staring at !! " or amybe "come on in if you think your hard enough . ."
Great head on shot - might be a little too central in the frame . . but still a nice capture.
Well done. |

Day 6: Mothers Loveby bobonacusComment: Bob - great shot !
Very well spotted and captured.
With the IS on the lens you've got you can afford to go way slower than that hand held, I have a picture of a Mandarin Duck on my profile that was hand held at 1/60th, so you may have got away with ISO 400 on this.
Have you got a spare goose head you could paste into this to bring mum back in :- ) |

twoby tnunComment: Nice composition and lovely capture of the water drops.
I'm not sitting at a calibrated monitor at the moment, and the shot looks a little bit muddy, blacks not black enough and whites not white enough . . but that might be different on my normal screen.
still a nice composition though |

IMG_2272_Wild-Rose.jpgby JerseyGenieComment: Nice feeling of depth on this - it would be nice if you were able to brighten up the roses, or tone down the bright area behind them so your eye only gets drawn to the one bright area (the lovely crisp Roses). |

Yellow-crowned Night-heronby JuliBocComment: What a delightful shot. The waves form a lovely gentle diagonal across the picture cutting it into two portions - land and water - then along comes this elegant wader who both literally and metaphorically strides between the two sections.
Lovely lighting and colours with a nice crisp focus.
ps is it just me or does the eye look much to big for it's head ? Maybe that's because (as it's name suggests) it's a night bird and so needs to capture all the light that it can. |
