View From Mockingbird Laneby 777STANComment: A simple, bold shot.
This is an unusual angle (which is fine by me), but I think it would have benefitted by having more detail in the bird itself. A little more in the way of colours and feather detail perhaps ? |

little oneby jmritzComment: Delightfully poignant little shot.
B&W is perfect for this, and the branch exiting in the bottom left corner forms a delightful little perch for her as it arches gently across the picture.
Very nice shot and processing. |

Urban Wildlifeby darynComment: Always a delight to capture and often happy to pose :- )
This looks a little oversharpened to me - which is a shame because it's a great little shot otherwise ! |

Red squirrelby snafflesComment: What a wonderful Squirrel !!
The colour palette on this is magnificently Autumnal, and he is given a perfect sense of scale and proportion by the tree trunk.
There is also a delightful amount of texture in this shot - from the soft fur of the squirrel, to the gnarled old wood on the tree, and the soft shapes of the woods and leaves in the background . .
(This isn't a German Squirrel by any chance is it ? )
I would love to see this on the front page. |

Winter Feathersby loriprophotoComment: Nice straight forward capture of an everyday bird that we can all too easily take foregranted.
If it had not been for his friend I would have cropped it at the 'V' just under his feet and made it a square crop with him as the star. On the other hand I quite like the diagonal they form across the screen, and having two of them does give a greater feeling of depth . . |
