What a cute little guy !

The muted colours work really well here, and in a way he gives the whole shot a sense of scale.

It might have been good to have got right down to his level and then viewed the carousel from his perspective ? Try and see what this huge whirling brightly coloured thing with slightly grotesque animals on it looks like from a two year old's point of view ?

That said he looks happy enough :- )

Now that is one crazy effect with beams of light seeming to come out of his eyes and the carousel for a hat, along with the manequin standing blankly observing the whole scene.

This may have done very well for abstract emotion (or not of course), but the more you look at it and take it in the more it grows on you.

Really interesting shot and effects.

Love the scratched up effect - looking good !

Edit to add - you're right - that is one scary looking horse, and I think the scratched up effect helps to emphasise the edgy feel.

Interesting shot !

Nice diagonal running bottom right to top left, a set of leaves running down one of your 'thirds', a sense of DoF with your nearest leaf being in focus and the others sliding out of focus, nice muted colours, and an overlay or two thrown in for good measure !

So many wonderful tones, textures and shapes. . .

I do wonder whether the border is too heavy ? and maybe too rigid ? perhaps something a little less clearly defined as rectangular would carry on the theme of textures and shapes into the border?
