Sweet shot - and adorable dog - I'm not even sure what sort it is . .

To squeezer a little more out of this composition having them either both looking at the camera - or both at each other would have been good - but hey - I took a pet portrait myself - I know what it's like trying to get a pet to look where you want it too :- )

Handsome dog - but I would compositionally I would have preferred to see both his eyes to the roof of his mouth . .

Whether a dog portrait or a human portrait - strong eye contact is always a powerful element.
