This is a great shot and definately should have been your entry.

The shot shows a whole different aspect of Pigeons as looking graceful, balletic even, like a star performer taking his bow to an audience of one, but still treating them like they were an audience of thousands.

I like the material in the ladies coat, it lends an air of class to the shot, again moving away from the image of 'Sky Rats' to something altogether more wonderful and worthy of our notice. I am quite sure that if Pigeons were not quite so ubiquitous we would be fascinated by them and marvel at their lines, their plumage and their gentle coo-ing.

I like this title, but another that might have been worthy of consideration would be " . . I thank you . . "

The only comment I would make is that whatever the 'talking hands' are saying is apparently not that interesting ;- )

Millicent ran away horrified . . . for the third time this week the same Pigeon had landed next to where she was eating and shown her his butt. She was going to the park authorities about this !!

For me this is the shot you should have entered in the flower challenge. I think you took a really interesting and wide ranging selection of shot's, but this is a nice balance of model and topic and I suspect would have come comfortably in the 6's .
