Folding Chairby Man_Called_HorseComment: This was my favourite, though I couldn't vote. Tried to leave message to the effect of great understatement - the lonely unpretentious little chair, maybe left there to shell peas, peel potatoes, clean boots - the wash tub, or maybe not, doesn't matter, the scenery, the setting is grand but not spectacular. I dunno, so many entries were trying to make a statement, and this one wasn't. |

that Dayby GiorgioComment: Dies irae, or some local conflagration? Clouds and rising vapors are stunning against water and plain of buildings, and as I look I realize the dull dun strip of grass is to show an area untouched by cloud/sun/smoke/fire. Message edited by author 2007-03-11 00:05:25. |

Standing Tallby zeuszenComment: Oh this tells me how you feel about your dog. Makes me afraid to even think about doing a dog portrayal (as opposed to dogshots). Non pareil. |

The Power of Life by roadrunnerComment: Fascinating deployment of tones and light to tell us about this moment. This kind of definition devoutly to be wished. |

Red Roomby RegoComment: A problem of what to focus on: the sewn on red heart or the subtle red toned light on the body. Cropping and white counter distracting, but the lighting on torso and arms is very pleasing, and the heavy black framing seems appropriate. |

Spool of Redby ElaineComment: Like title and texture. Colour could be more lively, composition less simple. |

Hail to the King!by HeiSchComment: Very imaginative set up, effective lighting, dof, and composition. If red were redder, horizontals strait, distracting shadow upper 2/3 left reduced (how?), this would be a 9 for me. |
