Autumn Solitudeby DrAchooComment: Stunning composition, but I'm stymied as to how the back of the leaf could be reflected. |

Cambell's Lighthouseby DirtypainterComment: Interesting composition with the red twigs(?) in the lower left balancing the red and white of the lighthouse in the upper right, and the subtle browns of the water and denuded woods. Like the texture of the woods and the strong verticals of the reflexions. |

Reflections at Duskby slickshooterComment: Very pleasing colour balances, and the bare trees to the left are expressive; I'm just not sure if the photo is balances side to side. |

Autumn Drakeby MacDonaldComment: Sensuous. Mr. Mallard's shiny luminous/metallic round head vis a vis the oily round swirl of red gold reflection... |

Cool Watersby whiteroomComment: Some very nice things happening with the leaf reflections in the background, and the pelican(?) is nicely situated. Would be nice if the bright green verticals above his head and below the curve of his neck where edited out plus the round blob thing and the unfocused bright vertical. Unusual to get such a pleasing background for a stately subject. (The thumbnail gives no indication of the richness of this picture). |

Edison's mazeby GabrielSComment: Overall light abnd darks are good. Wish reflected object were more interesting, though the subtle colouring of the same is good |

The Korean Memorialby LifeLostComment: Most interesting. Graininess, supersaturation, outsized foot and the wealth of interwoven reflections are somehow all of a piece. And now that it's over, let me say this was The most interesting and provocative of all the submissions. (Possibly the face and hand and socks are 'blown' but this is photography not drawing, not painting, not sculpting). Message edited by author 2006-11-16 01:44:42. |

Just Splashing Byby PhotonurdComment: Wonderful capture. Maybe a narrower cropping? Still, this is the sort of thing photography is about, and a beautiful horse and rider doesn't hinder. |
