Like this picture just as it is. You could of course just crop the excellently lighted portrait and have a "perfect" picture, but I like the contrast with the paintinglike outside, though I tend to like things the camera does without too much control. In any case, this certainly shows off your Nikon and what you can do with it. (Suspect it would have scored much higher in some other challenge).

Wonderful light stars on water ripples. Would have worked better IMO if upper third and right quarter had been cropped out - sacrificing the light on the cattails or whatever they are.

Great tree cum shadow, and golden green alley of light. (Crossing branches across top right and left corners a bit distracting; would a bit cropped off the top help? Realize the deeper blue at the top balances the grass in shade at the bottom).

Light Breakthrough

Amazing light. Pinky lavender on the clouds and snow, and just at the horizon below the deep blue sky has great appeal. I do feel that the lower half is a composition in itself, and is slightly over/unbalanced by the sun.
