Beyondby TheImageryComment: Looked at this a long time, wondering about the apparent tilt of the horizon; what I found is that I appreciate the gradation of brightness/light leading to the buildings on the left which also emphasizes the slope of the low tide sand. That is to say, once "in" the picture the horizon works as is. Nice work. 8 |

Someone You Can Look Up To by SandyPComment: Love the combination of perfection and improbable perspective which makes this so much more than cute. (Was no one there to take a candid of YOU taking this shot?) |

the monolithby taseComment: Very nice detail in this BW, and I like the monolith, but the composition isn't balanced: neither centred nor rule of thirds or some such way to rest the eye. I would suggest trying a variety of croppings. |

22 Miles From Londonby SimmsComment: The drama in the sky, which is magnificent, rather overwhelms the subtlety of the horizon. Possibly it is the inclusion of that larger blue patch that is tipping the balance. Still an amazing picture. |

Point of no returnby MimPhotoComment: Please tell me no one was hurt. Amazing picture, and the colour and bw work. (Distance is not among the first things conveyed to me here, else I'd have scored you higher). |
