controlby MephistoComment: Very expressive, and different from watching live. Here you feel the concentration and muscles, and the arms really stand out and make me think of our desire to fly. Love the dark water, and how scary it must be for the photographer. |

kissby RetroesqueComment: Wonderful isolation of this clearly brightly defined couple leaning so expressively with room in between, their toes almost completing an oval. As if we didn't exist. And wonderfully we don't. |

Coveredby doc_gonzoComment: Makes me think/feel all the structures we make, temporary and permanent, all for passing through. At the end a bus for somewhere else. |

# 4 Ballerinaby SonifoComment: I don't know what to say. It's stunning, the dancer is grace, the tutu is delicate/delicious as are the lights and darks. I am bothered by the arm overlay, and a little by the leg, but only when I think. The darker well done mirroring effect is an excellent foil for the bright contrast of the main subject, sort of like discovering an extra layer in the dessert - different but most complementary. |

7.52 Hands on hipsby MelethiaComment: I totally messed up, wondering why some guy in a kilt is feeling up a pillar. Groupings of people coming and going very eloquent: you don't know which is the cause or which the effect: showcased goods or shoppers. What I like about photog: you can find things. |

Lake Raven - Huntsville, Texasby SandyPComment: First thing I notice is all the verticals, then the textures which amazingly at this dpc size as well as in BW really come through with incredible variety. Lovely composition set off by dark lone tree and point (horizontal) and (half) dark standing figure and boat (horizontal).
(And thanks for comment on my pet; if you ever left the site I'd give up on the doggy pics). |

Elegyby figaroComment: Missed this. The dpc size doesn't do this any favours: I have to do an imaginative interpolation to "see" the varied feathers and down that make this so interesting. I think the head is snaked around to groom the right underwing. Like dragon and food on platter intimations... |

Winter Light - WK07by DJWoodwardComment: Oh my, snows of childhood when I was surrounded by woods and light, can almost taste it. The lines, the leaning, the curves, the mounding. Crisp, vibrant. |

week-7.jpgby LanndonKaneComment: I go back and forth between seeing this as a pepper and seeing it as an old silver brooch (with a funny thing in the middle). Lighting is lustrous. |

Ebisu Gardenby kolasiComment: The scale and patterns in this composition are most arresting. The BW works so well on people and objects. |
