18. Portugese Bowl O' Warby Art RoflmaoComment: 1. Cool jellyfish. 2. Great texture, like frost on jellyfish. 3. Hmn, something familiar about that texture. 4. And shape. 5. HOW did he DO and THINK to do that?
This is my idea of a double take: beauty and wonder. |

brownportsepdp.jpgby IraklisComment: Portrait of a horse in his simple but honest home. Small well chosen meaningful-to-him picture of sunset on the sea. I don't now who the horse is - he might be a famous writer, artist or very wise paterfamilias, but he has gravitas. (Photographer's parents were Dorothea Lange and Yousuf Karsh).
Photography is both illusion and allusive. I love getting carried away by the latter. |

Glads H&C.jpgby drydocComment: Not sure of the provenance: don't members of the mob sit facing the door? Okay, so now I'll settle down and pay attention to how you photograph your glads. Back view very effective - the form of the bracts echos and coordinates with the striping on the blooms, but mostly it is the structure/pattern that this view provides that rules or should rule the picture. Your effects, being the same green, detract.
(BTW, bean, not pea. Peas about gone, beans about to begin). |

guessby tnunComment: I'm not crazy about it either: at 1:00 am it is my aesthetic judgment that falters, but there it is, let that be lessened for us all. |

Lobellia siphilitica.jpgby drydocComment: Nicely lit, stands out well against the background. (Might want to correct the spelling: Lobelia; and the 'second name' is not capitalized, except of course in DPC titles. - Do I get to be pedant for the day? Oh, and if you do correct the spelling the eyepiece might come back). |
