Very dark and brooding for such a chearful subject :) It works for me, but it seems like when I have "dark" photos on DPC they don't do as well. I think you have created great mood and character for your toy and I give you high marks for it.

I love the subject and composition. Good texture in the fur too. I like the framing provided by the dark surroundings also. On the negative side, my eye is drawn to the left side where the focus seems to be the best and that part of the subject seems to be disconnected from the head...it makes for a confusing composition. Overall though I like the photo.

Great idea and execution, I'm voting high for this. I would have liked it better if the little train had more space to go into...like if the focus point was the upper right and it was heading in torward the camera...I like it a lot as is though.

Very simple and beautiful composition. I love the lighting but I think perhaps a little more key light would have created some soft interesting shadows (a little darker than they are now) which would have added interest for me. Great shot nonetheless...8

Classic still life so you start out on a better scale than other photos....plus your lighting is terrific (well except for those "catchlights" i the wide bottle which are just a little distracting to me). The grapes falling off doesn't really work for me as they seem to be floating...also the wide bottle looks like it isn't straight up and down (I admit that could be my eyes!)....So overall unity, composition, lighting...very well done. 8
