It's a clever idea to try and create an otherworldly scene but I have to wonder how this looks in it's normal state? It seems as tho you might have a beautiful scene on your hands. When I see rocks and water I'm looking for a peaceful and soothing scene. Here, with the contrast and extra sharpness, it's almost an uncomfortable view.

This looks almost zen like. Love the simplicity. I like how you used the curve of the paper to create some flow in the scene. I really like the texture of the rocks too.

I love the color of the sky! The starburst is in a greatspot as well. Really helps to draw attention to the curve of the rock.

This scene is a little confusing to me because there are so many items to look at. The first thing that catches my eye is the row of curved shells and it makes me wonder how it ties in with the stacked rocks. So I guess what I am saying is that without this title, it's not totally clear to me who the star of the photo is.

lol so I had to go look up "gneiss" and i can see where you are squeaking it into the photo. I guess I like natural water reflections so I would like to have seen a clearer view of the rocks in water.

Per my personal tastes, I don't feel the colortone is adding anything to the mood of the shot. It's too bad the leaves are in the foreground because it looks like you have a beautiful capture of the water.

This is a great idea but it looks like you might have done too much sharpening and noise reducing software? I see unusually bright edges around your rocks and also the detail is lost on the smaller stones. Using the original, this looks like it would have been a good candidate for a black and white photo.
