Wow look at the composition... Love the rule of thirds here. Why it's in focus and CLEARLY is the MAIN FOCUS of the picture. I like the lighting use to convey the loneliness of the one battery. The color tone sets creates a nice mood. Ever active and yet just sitting and waiting for action - nice juxtaposition. And the title - what a hoot! Um but how do I know that this really is an AA battery? I just don't SEE the AA... HA! Just kidding. Beautiful job!

This looks like a neat picture but something about her mouth really bugs me. Is that her tongue on the side? I am assuming it is supposed to look like she is licking her lips? but it seems out of place and like a distraction.

This looks like a neat shot but on my monitor, I do not see any brown. It looks black to me and the shoe just kind of gets lost in the background.

Nor sure if you are trying to emphasize the brown tone all over or just the eyes? If you were trying to emphasize the eyes, I would like to have seen you crop closer to just the eyes. The softness or fuzzyness is a distraction and takes away from the point of the picture.
