I get where you are going with the self-centered thing, but isn't narcissism about self-love? It seems as if your subject is actually hiding instead of preening.

To me this is centered, but it doesn't really grab my attention. It would have been cool to see some back lighting (highlight the lamp, darken the wall), and have the lamp lit so that you have more emphasis on just the lamp and not lamp AND wall.

LOL - good caption. I know you may not have been able to do much about it, but the green stuff is a distraction, mostly because it hangs to the left and below the back tail of the fish.

I personally love how the background compliments the color of the ornament - excellent color contrast. For my personal taste, I would like to have seen more sharper detail on the ornament (as far as voting in a challenge). And if you were wanting to put more emphasis on the ornament, I would have done some cropping on the left - the lighter background draws away from the ornament. I like it!
