Hi Deb - I liked your idea here. I think the black background actually detracts from the picture. It's too harsh of a contrast. Since you are going for an old-time feel here, I would like to have seen this on a lighter table, maybe wood even, and then gone sepia. And then tone down the grain a tad, since the paper is already old. Also, I would have liked to have seen the sharp focus on the foreground rather than the background. Not a bad placement for a challenge this large! :o)

I thought this was hilarious - and the title rocks. Love the pearls. This did an excellent job of making me wonder whether or not this truly was a cross-dresser (everything seems to fit! lol), rather than just showing me a picture of a person obviously dressed up just for the challenge.

I like that you matched up some symbols there. If you were going to try this again, I'd like to see them sitting on black, and maybe move the angle of lighting a bit. Make it float! Isn't that what everything looks like it is doing any way after too much sake??? hehe

Capturing the sun and stars

Ok so what is the story behind this? lol Is that a telescope? Is that really the sun or a background light? I would like to have seen some light on the rest of the object (for depth) and less reflective light on the lens. I think this is a good idea and I wonder if a filter of some kind would have done something here.
