A pleasing diptych. I like the 'modern' feel to the image, and the cleanness of it. You have handled the transition from the table top to the background well. The only thing I am not so keen on is your handling of the border, in particular where the two photos meet.

Rather disturbing! i do rather wish that the skin tone wasn't quite as bright, and was dulled a little to match the image on the left, but good work!

This looks to be the archetypal British Army retired officer of fairly recent yesteryear. Except the nerd in me doesn't recognise the mess dress, which makes me think he may be a Commonwealth country RO. None the less, a fine portrait.
