Daddy's Loveby aimeethetooComment: This would have got a much, much higher score from me if it wasn't for the very visible 'halo' around the lower side of the hands. It is also a shame that the child's finger nails are not clean - a minor detail, but one that does have an effect on the viewer. Nonetheless, a very pleasing composition. |

galleryby tcmartinComment: An iviting entrance without people, balloons without a party - gives an almost eerie feel. That said, I would prefer the shot more if you had captured someone, or better still a couple coming out of the building. |

Word On The Streetby rasdubComment: On first pass through, I dismissed this photo as a straight shot of a graffiti daubed wall, but on revewing I see I was quite wrong. The angles of the different parts of the building make for an interesting composition, although it is a shme that they are not a little more accenuated. I wonder if a little burning of the inverted C might help draw attention to it? |

Watching the Ships Go Byby RamblinRComment: The composition of this is pleasingly balanced, but somehow the picture doesn't really connect with me. I wonder I might be better a little less tightly framed? |

Street Musiciansby essieComment: It looks as though the light was very harsh here, and I do find myself squinting when viewing the bright whites of the shirts! I think a more interesting photograph, in terms of 'street photography' might have been taken by standing forward and to the left of your original position, so that you could capture at least one of the performers, but also the expressions of the spectators - this would weave more of a narrative in to the composition. |

Bumpsby vzegarskiComment: Certainly out of the box thinking, but to carry the photo off it needs to be technically sound. The exposure here is quite badly of, with the reflected sunlight blowing the highlights. An interesting perspective though, and I hope you didn't risk getting runover when lying down in the middle of the road! |

Boxed in by Giantsby KelliComment: A much wider perspective, taking more of the scene would help this in terms of the challenge. As it is, the photo doesn't say to me 'street' or similar environment - it could have been taken in a cloakroom for all I know! That said, it is a pleasing portrait of the little girl and you have captured her eyes and smile very nicely. |

Hollywood Blvd.by djbdjComment: There is seriously a shop called 'Forplay'?!
I am afraid that there isn't enough definition in this photograph for it to work for me. The subject is surely the man standing in the left corner, and yet this is the area where focus is softest. The photo also has a washed out feel - a little judicious burning would help give a little more contrast. On a positive note, the inclusion of the police car helps provide a sense of story to the photo. |
