I find the pose somewhat awkward, and the model does look rather uncomfortable - may suit the desired result of an advertising shoot, but for a stand-alone photograph (and for this viewer, at any rate) it doesn't work. I find my eyes drawn to the hot spot around her left ribs and find it hard to actually define the model's shape, which is a shame. A couple of minor niggles, which could have been sorted under the advanced editing rules - a mark in her pubic region, another at the top of her left thigh and some in the shadow under her thumb.

With the exception of the fact that the child appears to be wearing lipstick, this is a goreous portrait. A very sweet looking model who looks as though she has bags of character, lovely even lighting that compliments the mood of the photograph perfectly. So far my only 10.

This makes for a great candid'street' photograph, but loses marks from me in terms of this particular challenge. Had the woman been engaging in some way with her phone, I suspect I would have scored much higher or had the advert featured a mobile, but as it is the mobile seems entirely incidental to the, admitedly good, photo.

'I hope somebody likes it' - well, I did, and gave it an 8. I can't believe it is languishing down near the bottom of the rankings. The soft focus was lovely, and yes, I do think the noise gave it the feel of a pointilism painting. And I still like it, too!
