A pleasing portrait. The side-lighting would suggest late afternoon, but you may have had more success with the exposure if you had waited another hour or so for the light to soften even more.

In order to get away with a photo such as this in a Portrait challenge, it really does have to be exceptional, and i'm afraid this isn't. It is though, a perfectly competent photo of a flower.

A striking model, and she really does have classic looks. I find the pose slightly awkward - as though this is a crop from a larger more snap-shot like photo.

Oh gosh, this is lovely! Superb use of light, with excellent exposure and rendition of skin tones; bags of charm and character; super pose and composition; nice pleasing colour, and just enough hint of the background to add to the overall feel without distracting from the portrait. Delightful.

I like the idea behind this portrait, but do wish that the child was looking directly at the camera - that way she would echo the 'stare' of the sunflower. The background would be better if the trees weren't visible - would you have been able to have a clear sky if you had taken the photo from 40 degrees or so clockwise? Nonetheless, lovely skin tones.
