A pleasing portrait. The side-lighting would suggest late afternoon, but you may have had more success with the exposure if you had waited another hour or so for the light to soften even more.

In order to get away with a photo such as this in a Portrait challenge, it really does have to be exceptional, and i'm afraid this isn't. It is though, a perfectly competent photo of a flower.

I like the idea behind this portrait, but do wish that the child was looking directly at the camera - that way she would echo the 'stare' of the sunflower. The background would be better if the trees weren't visible - would you have been able to have a clear sky if you had taken the photo from 40 degrees or so clockwise? Nonetheless, lovely skin tones.

Very sweet and pleasing portrait. I do feel that you have gone just a little too far in the processing of the eyes - the whites are a little too white, and the shadows in the corner have taken on an orange tinge. The child's dark hair is shown off well against the green and orange background.
