The Winged Warriorby awpollardComment: What an amazing capture - the interaction between the two birds really does move this to a whole new level! |

Grazing Through the Early Morning Mists by AlexSaberiComment: Richmond Park? I can't quite make up my mind whether this counts as a rural landscape in my own personal classification system. That, though, is quite irrelevant, as it is an amazingly beautiful and evocative photograph that goes straight in to my favourites. |

Dark angel on the ground.by jimsappComment: A good idea for the challenge, but I feel there is more you could have done to enhanced the photo. The background is unappealing, and provides a strange context for the belly-dancer - if this was part of a display and you had no opportunity to move your model, opting for a very shallow depth of field may have helped to blur and disguise the background. |

Red Bull Gives You Wings......(figuratively)by rugman1969Comment: I take it this is an advertising slogan? I suspect thatthis is one of those photos that very definitely needs to be placed in its cultural context to work properly. The photo itself appears well and evenly lit, although the composition does seem a little awkward. |

Touched by an Angelby alainfrancoComment: The idea of the angel reaching out to touch that sky is rather appealing, although I am less convinced with the exposure on the statue. |

Storkby dtremainComment: I wish you had chosen a shorter focal length as I would have liked to have seen a little more of the environment in which the heron (I believe) was placed. |

Live and Let Dieby Mr_PantsComment: I find myself in a quandry over this one - the challenge is wings, physical or figurative, and yet the wings seem to be completely incedental to the photograph. The level of detail and colour reproduction in the birds head are incredible, with an almost seering clarity of focus. However as a photograph (and quite seperate from the challenge, too) it doesn't quite work for me - something to do with the fact that focus is deep enough to allow the tip of the beek through to the neck to be sharp, but then drops off incredibly rapidly. I am curious to see what lens you are using. |
