I think I may have already commented favourably on this photo, and I like it just as much on second viewing. Moments like this are so important, and it is wonderful that you have been able to capture it with such empathy. You should be proud of this on a photographic level, but the value of the photograph to you, and ultimately your little girl, goes far beyond that.

What the heck is this bird? It looks like my imagining of a phoenix! A gold star for showing me something I have never come across before, and in a good pose to show off its strangeness, but a bit of a shame the focus on the body and tail plumage is a little soft.
