Smirkby littlegettComment: Pleasing lighting and skin tones, and a nice quirky expression - although it has to be said, a rather demonic glint to the eyes! |

Little Big Manby timfythetooComment: I'm not sure I really go with this concept as a portrait as such. I feel that a portrait should articulate something of the individual inside the model - be it in the environment, expression, or just that look in the eyes, but here I don't feel any of those thongs. Just empty. |

Just hanging outby kellyoComment: She looks like she has been hanging there for a while! Not the most flattering position (unless she normally has that rather vivid colouration!) but one that may well be typical of the child! I would like to have seen a much shallower depth of field thus allowing the grass in the background to blur more. |

An Accidental Close Upby JoAnna3853Comment: An unusual and quite pleasing composition with pleasant soft lighting. the image quality seems somewhat below par, and I wonder if this was taken either at a very high ISO or else a substantial crop from a much larger image. |

untitledby kmtregoeComment: You have articulated a sense of yearning, of wistfulness perhaps, well. There is a hint of narrative, but also a degree of ambiguity which I like. In terms of the technicals, I feel this could be stronger: perhaps a little of the eye visible, and a slightly different arrangement of the hair (I find the peice behind her open mouth rather distracting). The photo overall hasa rather flat feeling; whether greater sharpness or different lighting would help I am unsure. |

Bridalveil Creek by EstimatedEyesComment: I can't believe you haven't ribboned before! This, though, is a very worthy photo to be your first ribboner - lovely atmospheric image, with just a hint of something rather ominous. Good work! |

A Fly-By Shootingby quicheComment: Quiche - thanks for providing the set-up details for this. I am always interested in discovering how a photographer went about achieving a shot that has intrigued me, and this one certainly did! I am glad that it was taken in the field, rather than a studio - it was only after I had viewed a few times that I began to wonder, hence the addition to my comment during voting. |

Tourists 3by MelethiaComment: This is gorgeous - \I love sneaked candids like this - there are so many narratives the viewer can weave. |
