fallen womanby cutoutComment: First thoughts - an aesthetically interesting image with no discernable subject other than indeterminate shapes and tones, created by a less than obvious camera technique. Is any of that of any consequence? - other than the aesthetic appeal, not at all. The image provokes in me a sense of...I can't really articulate it, a sort of sense of 'being' - it somehow depicts a whole bundle of very personal emotions. I guess what I am saying is that an abstract image such as this is what it is perceived as to it's creator and to each viewer; each will take from it something completely different and governed by their own experiences and psychology. For me, it works extremely well. |

Late-Night Ridersby dsniderComment: I like the dynamism the vibrant colours and the tilt give to this image, and the panning technique is competently handled. That said, there isn't enough about the image for me to give a higher vote than 6. |

Having Funby urabusComment: This one doesn't really work for me. I suspect that this may have been your first attempt at panning - it is a difficult technique to master, and I am not really there yet myself, either. A faster moving subject, or a slower shutter speed and longer distance of panning with the shutter open would give a more noticably blurred 'speed streaked' background. |

The Old Tire Swingby eastonslightComment: A tricky subject to pan, but you got it. In an ideal world you would have moved the car before taking the picture and caught the whole of the tyre and leg, but you have captured the sense of fun, and something of a sense of sponteneity, too. I wonder if slightly tighter framing and a tilt would add a bit more dynamism? |

No two alikeby MelethiaComment: This was the only 10 I gave out in this challenge - certainly didn't have it as yours, it is really quite different to your usual style! |

Rock Bottomby bvyComment: One of my favourites of the challenge. It is interesting how the child almost confuses the scale, rather than clarifying it. Pleasingly observed. |

summer vacationby vawendyComment: I remember that feeling, about three-quarters of the way into the summer holiday, itching to get back to school so that I would have someone else to play with except my brother! Very nicely observed. |
