When I was voting I did wonder how much difference there was between what might be on a front page in different countries. This is exactly the sort of photo that would appear in a British broadsheet on the day following Remembrance Sunday. My only criticism, and hard to avoid, is that I find the top left hand corner distracting, but do accept that is a compromise you had to make in order to get the statue at the most interesting angle. Hope you are enjoying your visit over here!

Good to see early education in progress! Reminds me of my youngest - when she was less than a year old a visitor (actually an elderly, alcoholic and very fun, aunt) put her whisky tumbler on the floor; youngest quietly knocked it back in one... Did make for a rather anxious few hours while we waited to make sure it wasn't going to have a serious effect.

Pancakes here in England are much, much thinner and we usually have them with lemon juice and sugar. These do look very scrummy!
