Always check your background for intrusions into the frame.by SaraRComment: Originally posted by vawendy: hehe!! I love it! Even though I'm terribly jealous of your european squirrels. How can my boring squirrels even begin to compete with something that cute?! |
The reds are really rare in England - they have been driven out by the imported American greys who carry a pox that the red squirrels have no immunity to. Really sad.

Avoid Distracting Elements by hahn23Comment: The ultra high shutter speed really does allow a unique view of this such pretty bird. I would guess that the snow acted as a giant light box allowing you such a fast shutter speed - really impressive.

Raffaby the_rkpComment: Back to clarify my comment, especially in light of Ubique's. I love every aspect of this, except at the very bottom of the frame where the tree appears to grow out of the giraffe. I really like the inclusion of the rest of it (and I concede it would look pretty silly without the bottom..) and love the way the giraffe's head appears above the leaves. I hadn't consciously considered that the foreground tree/bush, acted as an echo of the form of the animal, but I appreciate the photo all the more for having that connection pointed out. Edit: Deserved a much higher finish tan this Message edited by author 2017-06-02 01:25:39. |
