One lump of sweetness by IreneMComment: You mentioned that photographing sugar was more difficult than you anticipated. I agree with you completely (my entry was horrid!!!) but I think you absolutely nailed it with this entry. I knew from the thumbs that this was likely your shot - the excellent lighting, the fantastic control of color, the wonderful and simple composition. Great stuff and congrats on another well deserved ribbon. |

Vote for Artby Art RoflmaoComment: So, are you pandering to those from the state of Rhode Island.... Autocrat Coffee Syrup? As a presidential candidate, I would expect you to pick a bigger voter block to key in on... Message edited by author 2008-07-24 06:42:45. |

Day at the beachby JaimeVinasComment: Compared to the other bathing suit photo you recently posted - I really like the pose and feel of this one a lot. It is more flattering to the model. |

Laying aroundby JaimeVinasComment: Pretty model and nice tones warm summer tones - again great work overall on this whole set.
But I am not sure about the crop - the top of her head is only slightly cropped by the border - I would look for a bit more space up there to separate her hair from the top of the phot. Also, I am not sold on the pose - it seems to overly accentuate her bustline here and the fact that her torso and leg are only partly in view actually makes her look a bit bigger than she probably is.

Heyby JaimeVinasComment: This is stunning stuff. The lighting on her face is perfect, especially how the highlights on her nose adds depth to the shot. The choice of crop, the background wood grain to continue the line from her hair, and how the eyes sparkle without being overdone. |

Arched architectureby MelethiaComment: Deb - After reading the thread on this in the forums, I now feel completely cheated and lost. How could you of all people resort to that fancy schmancy dodge and burn stuff? My faith in humanity is lost. I may never again look at art the same way.
I think we need to add an asterick next to this image (similar to the one that Barry Bonds needs to have next to his homerun totals). But since I can't figure out how to add an asterick, I guess I will just mark it as a favorite so I can remember the day my faith was lost.
