the choice of longer exposure here in this setting allows for us to see the clouds, but without a specific subject of interest to focus on, it really does not draw us in

an interestng take - the yellowish and red colors really are unsettling - and i imagine this is the intent here -not sure i really like it except for the way the eyes are staring us down

Colored Lights

the way the lights seem to meander down the river is a nice effect, but there is so little detail beyond the lights, making it a bit less than ideal - some more light from the sky for us to see the horizon and trees beyhond and some details in the foreground with light painting could have really helped this out

The Light Within

a neat idea for a shot - but it appears that there was some camera shake as noticed in the blurry details in the church. The light from inside is a bit too blown, but it is a bit understandable with your goal to show details outside

Fountain Gargoyle

the choice of horizontal perspective seems to close the image down a bit - the motion of the water is vertical, and a vertical perspective to show the flow of water may have really helped this shot. Also, the lighting on teh fountain gives the gargoyle a very flat and uninteresting appearance.

Would a different perspective - say from an angle instead of straight ahead - worked a bit better?

the jagged lines of light are a cool effect the first time you see them - but I find that without a stationary or important subject to leverage the implied motion, the shot is lacking a very important component

the motion of the ground is actually a bit dizzy-ing in this shot - a good thing....

i just wish that the bike was a bit sharper in focus to contrast the motion around

the flow of the water and the details of the rocks are a great idea for this challnege, but the shot appears to be siginficantly underexposed. a longer exposure time woudl have brightned the details and actually would have smoothed the water even more
