the choice of centered crop of the head actually gives this an unbalanced feel - the body seems to be small in comparison to the head - possibly the point but it gives it an odd look

i like the partially desaturated feel - it gives it an 'old feel' as if this one was rescued from the bottom of a drawer - but those eyes sure do jump off the screen

Karen- I think this is outstanding work. The incorporation of complementary holiday colors, the centered crop to drive our eyes to the ornament, the softness of the perceived cold from the warm gloves - it all works nicely together.

Maybe the whites are a bit bright and lose a bit of detail - but that is really being nitpicky - and i didn't really notice it until I stared at the image a while to find something to critique...

Really cool lighting - i like how we can almost but not quite make out his face - i am just not sure about the bright outline behind his head - it is distracting to me
