Sunnies...by LutchenkoComment: A couple of thoughts about your entry.
I think the composition is pretty solid with the centered face - i just wish the sides of the hands were not cropped quite as tight.
The model's face is very pretty and I think you did a great job with capturing good skin tones on the hands - but the skin just below her eyes is a bit pinkish/purple - likely due to processing. I personally like the super blue eyes and red lips, but i wonder how well it will sit with others.
I think the jacket is one of the big problems - it is sooo busy that it distracts fro the glasses
I think the image is a bit soft and that probably cost you a bit as well and even though the glasses are white, the image does almost seem to come across as have a slightly yellow tint...but I have no idea why!
I like your model - very pretty - you need to use her more often - just put her in a bit better lighting and either get closer so you don't have to crop so much, or crop her wider.
I hope it helps! |

home grownby JutildaComment: That is so cool - and you did a great job of finding the right mood for the shot. It seems as if this image was reclaimed from a flood or a fire...brillian
Chele is probably one of my absolute favorite artists on this sight - and to think she "knows nothing of photography".... |

Butterfly Delightby ShutterPugComment: as stated in my comment during voting - the head/eyes appear out of focus. the rest of the image is sharp. my guess is this little butterfly was busy moving around and the lack of sharp focus was observed where it was moving.
because of this - i think it really cost you in scoring. as two of the comments mentioned it, i am sure others noticed it as well. by the way - i gave it a 6 during voting (this is was below my average score given of 6.67 in the challenge) |

Dreamingby CharleneComment: A fabulous soft and gentle and romantic image. The delicate touch you gave this in lighting and editing really gives this one a wonderful lift. I am so happy it scored as well as it did.

The Hunterby APComment: A great image, a classic AP type photo and a wonderful and happy rememberance of your Pop.
What a horrific story. I am so sorry to hear about your father passing (even if it is now almost a year gone by). |

The Old Guardby brownsmComment: nice work - almost got you a 6! I think the slight textures in the sky and halo around the lighthouse probably cost you a bit of score. It is perfectly composed and colored though. |

Life is Artby jasonlpriceComment: I was another one of your 10s. This is so quirky and fun - it deserves to shine on the first page. |
