I think you did a nice job of setting the image up. The 'keystoning' effect does work nicely, and I think the image carries the theme of silence to MOST viewers.

However, there appears to be some significant issues with the 'starbursts' from the lights above, the overall appearance of the details of the walls and pews and all are somewhat missing. These issues are likely due to the camera/ glass you are using. I have noticed very similar effects in my Panasonic Lumix camera. It takes a decent shot in really good light, but does not really deliver when inside (even if on a tripod). I think this is one reason why you ended up with some low score. I would have given this about a 6 if I voted.

Additional comment: I guess I should have looked at the camera you shot with more closely - I assumed you were using a very similar one to my Lumix P&S. I have seen issues with the starbursts in that camera and was trying only to provide a bit of comparison. My bad...

the panoramic approach here really seems to be necessary - this is some beautiful landscape - i just wish the light were a bit better on the valley and the sky not quite as blown - maybe a bit different time of day would be perfect for this place from a photography standpoint - as it is, the light seems a bit too harsh to really bring off the majesty of this vista that I am sure you saw live

i like how the reflection of the water adds some depth to the water in the foreground - i do agree with a couple other commenters that the mountain seems just a wee bit oversharpened

the streaming light over the trees and hills really amplifies the whole feel of the image

i always think of these moors and very dark and foreboding - but this is so warm and rich - lovely

this image seems to explode off the screen - the colors from the river really pull my eyes into the scene - without that color the image would be lost - with it, it is breathtaking

lovely delicate touch with the saturation to give a realistic, yet amazing, appearance

i really like how the two trees frame the scene - the snow on the branches and trunk provide a wonderful bit of contrast and texture to the image - the slightly blueish tint of the snow is perfect to accentuate the cold, and the tangle of the branches together adds a lovely complexity to this very simple shot
