unconquerableby elliewindsComment: The leading lines, the low key, the placement of the streetlight, the slope of the road create an excellent and surreal feel of night. |

Day 6 - A New Arrivalby jonfrommkComment: Jon
Congrats on the arrival of your new baby! Hopefully you treat it nicer than you do your own head (Ice thumping from earlier this side challenge).
I just love how frost can make a normal scene appear magical, with glistening lights. And this was just in time for Christmas.
Good stuff. When you decide you want to get serious, you can trade that silly Canon in for a real camera...
On the photo itself...
I like the placement of the tree so that it is framed between the two houses. I think the focus could be improved by focusing on the tree instead of the bushes/ underbrush in the foreground. (Doesn't that thing have so many more buttons and setting than your ol' camera?) Message edited by author 2007-12-20 06:46:07. |

rolling gravel/beaconby bahroComment: love the composition with the light so high in the frame but the noise levels really are an issue for me |

Rocky Shoreby acoppolaComment: beautiful colors and wide open look - i just would have liked a bit more crispness in the foreground rocks |

Ravenel Bridge, Charleston, SCby The EskimoComment: beautiful reflections and lovely bridge, but I am not that fond of the crop - it seems too static to me with the angles and lines heading towards dead center |

Evening Tideby ahmediComment: i like the blur created by the water, i also like the tones and colors, but the foreground just doesn't seem sharp enough in focus |
