A soul in tension thats learning to flyby danica22Comment: The lighting is great, the DOF is perfect...I'm trying to figure out why this doesn't quite work for me. I think it is because my eye is having trouble finding a place to settle, maybe because the hair blends just a bit too seamlessly with the background, maybe because of composition. 6. |

Dark side of the Moonby B74AComment: Oh, if only the branches were sharply focused, I would love this. As it is, I find them distracting. However, excellent capture of a sliver of moon. 5. |

Empty Spacesby GnarfComment: Wow. This is a beautiful image that works very well both in and out of this challenge. The blown highlights IMO actually serve to enhance instead of detract, which is most unusual. This one "speaks" to me very clearly. 10. |

Careful With That Axe, Eugeneby VpphotoComment: My first thought was Jack Nicholson in "The Shining." Expression is great. Technically, though, I think the harsh white sky detracts from the face, and the composition could be a bit stronger. 5. |

Welcome To The Machineby GoboltsComment: Although this doesn't say "pink floyd" to me, I think it is an interesting shot, just the same. Looks like it may have been a tad over-shapened around a couple of the birds. |

Brain Damageby tamatamaComment: Creative take. Not sure the composition quite works, probably due to partially cropped fish at bottom. I do like the sense of surreal. 6. |

"Another Brick in the Wall" meets "Dark Side of the Moon"by saiphfireComment: Weird...fits the challenge well. I'm having trouble figuring out how you did this and what the building is. Doesn't look brick. Looks more like particle board? Good composition and use of light, but I don't think it would have much appeal outside of this challenge. 5. |

"Waiting For Worms"by ArtanComment: I like the perspective and feeling of movement. However, I don't feel the bird is sharp enough to stand on its own as subject. |

"What shall we use to fill the empty spaces"by hyperfocalComment: I really like the sepia, and I also like the vanishing point and how the trees grow misty toward the back. I'm not sure, however, how well this fits the challenge, seems a bit "shoehorned" in, perhaps. Still, a strong photo. 6. |
