This is a very interesting concept, but the processing looks a little too tweaked. 6.

To me, this was the very obvious blue ribbon winner in this conest. It stood out even among some other exceptional photographs. The lighting is just phenomenal.

Hi Jeb,
Couple of things I noticed on this photo. (I gave it a 5, by the way.)
1) Because you took it in direct, midday sunlight, there's a huge amount of contrast and it looks a bit flat. I'd love to see this same photo taken just after rain with a tripod and a slight warming filter.
2) I think it could stand a little bit of sharpening (unsharp mask in PS)
3) The shadow of the vine over the right side of Goggomobil does not look deliberate, and makes it hard to discern the word.
That being said, I think this is a really creative photo and solid entry. If you get a chance to photo it under some other light conditions, post back please! I love vintage captures like this.

Bob,
Congratulations on your new PB! I scored this a 7 in a difficult challenge with a lot of very strong entries. Your DOF and clarity are amazing in this photo, and you did an excellent job of adding the extra dimension of depth which tends to make centered shots more interesting. Great job!

This photo looks a bit washed out - like you were heavy-handed with the shadows/highlights tool. Nonetheless it is funny and in great focus.

Christian,
I can't believe this didn't score higher. I gave it a 7 and think I actually ought to have voted it higher as I look more closely. You did a beautiful job with dodging on the window and doorframes. Mainly, though, I like this for the mood it captures. There is something concurrently inviting and menacing here - must be the juxtoposition of the reds and grays. Great shot.

I really like zen-type photography, and appreciate the simplicity in this. I also think the composition is strong. I do think the color temperature seems a bit cool. I'd be very interested to see this one with a warming filter (i.e. yellow or orange) to pop the colors in the leaf.
