Fancy That!by michael_pComment: I really like this, shadow and all. In fact, this is one of the few instances where I think a shadow really adds to a portrait. Highly underrated IMO. |

Briar-14Day'sby BrianRComment: This seems really underrated to me. I'm having trouble figuring out why this didn't score higher - maybe not quite enough contrast on the faces (a bit of dodging / burning or soft light layering might have brought them out a little more). Still, the interaction between the mother and child is lovely, and the DOF is perfect. I think you got robbed! |

Topless Duotoneby jaysonmcComment: Jayson, this is really a beautiful architectural photograph. I love the two lights at the bottom and ethereal feel provided by the fog. Very nicely done! |

Ospreyby JuliBocComment: Julianne, I really like the perspective and capture of facial expression. Unfortunately, it's just a touch soft. Does your camera have a sports mode? I often use it to photograph birds in flight and find it works well for motion. The downside on the Canon model, at least, is that the sports mode only works in JPEG (no RAW). |

Wherever two or more of you are gathered...by bmartuchComment: Bob, I really like this a lot. You are very good at capturing mood in your photos. I also think the centered composition really works here, as the power line leading out adds balance and a bit of drama. I was on vacation during this challenge, but would have given you a 7 or 8 for this one. |
