brownby valioooComment: Artful use of a shallow DOF. The crushed nut adds a nice element that creates interest. |

liz maroonby eyeslanderComment: There's a lot of brown in this picture but its certainly not the primary focus of the shot. |

The Castleby bjoernComment: This angle seems somewhat "stunted". I feel like there should be more in the picture. |

A fly...by MrvileComment: The thick border detracts from the image. I am also not really seeing brown as a focus so much as just another color amongst others. |

Not Enough Hours In The Dayby jrjrComment: I like the simplicity and composition of this shot. I consider brown to be a warm color and this really gives a feeling of comfort. |

A Pile of Rustby glodaComment: This shot is a bit noisy and unfortunately, the color of tower doesn't say "brown" to me. |

Summer Gloveby riversongComment: The shadows seem quite underexposed to me. If there was a bit more detail showing I think it would be more effective. You also might need a deeper depth of field to get the whole glove sharp as the outside is terrifically sharpened whereas the palm and especially the fingers are a touch blurry.
Great idea for the challenge however. |

Finneganby CitadelComment: Thanks to all the votes and comments on my friend here. As I explained to some of you, Finnegan does have strange yellow eyes and I knew that there would be comments about them. Perhaps a different angle would have made them less prominent. In any event, thanks again for taking the time to have a look. |
