Performingby krakurComment: Nice capture and a very unique subject. Its a shame you lopped off some fingers on his right hand. Selective colorization may have worked well here but I like it just the way it is too. |

Walking the Lineby timfythetooComment: Nice capture. This shot has a good photojournalistic quality that, thus far, has been rare in this challenge. You tell the story well here and still have managed to create an artful composition. Well done! |

The Shadowby WindtaleComment: Nice composition and interesting use of shadows. The dodging on the person's right shoulder does seem a little out of place however I might be picky on that point. I like the texture that you captured in the stones as it really helps create a visual rhythm. Well done. |

In pursuit at the local footy ovalby ccaComment: Focus is quite soft here and I can't really tell what your camera chose to focus on. A tighter crop may have been more effective so we can see closer look at the heart of the action. Nice well saturated colors and a great capture of the action otherwise however. |

Girls Just Wanna Have Funby gocComment: Interesting picture that tells a story. You can almost see the dialogue:
"Look at this yutz packing our stuff for us"
"I know...what a goof"
"He doesn't look that bad without a shirt on"
"Are you kidding?"
Lol..fiction is fun.
Really well controlled DOF that works perfectly for the picture. Good visual connection between the subjects. Some separation between them would help but kinda hard to do so while keeping this candid. |

A Night on the Townby violinist123Comment: Interesting shot. I like the angle you captured this. Many would have had the standing angle pointing down. By bringing us down to eye level it helps create a connection to the person of the shot especially showing his hands and his hospital ID. The black and white conversion works but it seems everyone does black and white pictures of homeless people. Perhaps giving us the full color version would further allow us to empathize with him. Just an idea. |

Grandmaby roby21112Comment: The subject is given to us by the title rather than the composition. For me there seems to be a visual struggle between the elderly woman on the left and the seller and the woman on the right. Portrait orientation would worked well to help us with this.
Cute picture otherwise. I like how it portrays the elderly in a different way. e.g. With a bicycle helmet and running shoes |

To the office - That way =>by ValdoComment: Interesting angle. Strange focus here. I'm torn between calling it artful or out of focus. We'll call it artful for now. I like the tones throughout and this works quite well as black and white (especially with the "artful" focus). I like the patterns and repetition in this shot (i.e. the posts, and the bricks). The white jacket on the subject really helps identify them as the subject. |

Please dadby p2jvrComment: I'm not sure how you processed this but the scene seems quite muted. It looks like you were going for selective desaturation but didn't apply it to the whole background. In any event I don't feel it works for this shot as the man's shirt matches the background too much. Leaving it in color would have allowed him to stand out against the background more I think. |

Slow going on a busy Hiwayby griz210Comment: Another interesting take on the challenge. I'm not sure about the black and white as there is probably some really nice colors to be seen here. As black and white it seems a little flat and could do with some contrast. |
