Cow's and Rainbowby JLCComment: I'd have to agree with Slaakso. 1/2 second hand holding is pretty much impossible with that lens. I would have increased the ISO until you were able to shoot at around 1/300th of a second. Remember you can hand hold if your shutter speed if it is faster than the inverse of your focal length, in this case 300mm so 1/300th of a second. Of course if you were on the shorter end of that (75mm) you could use a shutter speed of about 1/80th of a second or so.
You could also have simply used a tripod but it sounds like this was a "found shot" so you may not have had your tripod handy. Message edited by author 2007-08-21 14:29:46. |

Mama and Baby - Re editby PhotoDaveComment: Aaah man. I am SOOOO jealous Dace. When did you take this? I was at the zoo Saturday and Sunday last week and I didn't even get a glimpse of the little guy. |

Naughts & Crossesby sherpetComment: Wow! Congrats on your PB! Really cool and unique approach to the challenge. Sorry I didn't vote. Maybe another ten would have bumped it up some more?

Home Town Cafeby ace flymanComment: Kinda blah to be honest. I know these little cafe's and they certainly have their charm. A different angle might help us appreciate this scene more. Also keep in mind that this isn't really a landscape. |

London Skyline.by SimmsComment: Not sure what to think of this one. I like the minimalist approach used but even taking that into consideration there still seems a lot of dead space at the top. I'd be tempted to crop off a third or a quarter off the top. |

Progress.......by PDImagesComment: This appears over processed. The sky looks unnatural and there is evidence of a lot of noise in the darker area possibly from over sharpening. Hard to expose this scene well because of the lighting. |

Belleville, Parisby potocheComment: Interesting abstract. As a landscape its a little lacking however. Nicely framed. A bit more contrast would make the pattern more obvious I think. |

Clowns Perspectiveby littlepeteComment: Nice shot but it looks a little blurry especially the lights in the distance. Interesting perspective however I think this needs a bit of straightening. I like the dual vanishing points. (One on the left and the one that is created with the bridge). The water looks alright but I'm somewhat troubled by the blue reflection as there isn't anything blue that I can see that would create that. |

Oasis in the Cityby runericComment: Nice shot and a different take on the challenge. I really like the sky here. The fronds on the palm trees look really weird however. |
