Petunias Day 22by KatmystiryComment: I really like how this turned out. And it makes you wonder what the color shot looked like too.
Glad you got to play so that we got to enjoy. |

Owls Head Lightby krnodilComment: I really like the deep blue filter. Perhaps the lighthouse and its connection to the water is why the blue works so well, just an idea.
I especially like how the limbs of the tree seem to be cradling the lighthouse. And the other thing that really jumped out was the stairs leading my eye right up into the heart of the photo. |

Grand Mananby krnodilComment: One of my favorites (for years now) is nice craggy old limbs/trees. And I still love them now. This really appeals to me. I love the war torn look. Very moody (and beautiful too). |

guard.jpgby electrolostComment: The detail in the craftmanship is so amazing, and I'm glad you captured it for us to see. I agree, I think adding the sepia really added to the general feel and appeal. |

Wired, Day 21by jackal9Comment: Yowza, that's a lot of wires coming together at one pole! Someone had their eyes up to the sky to spot this beauty. I think it is a very good choice for the black and white challenge. |

(Success) One Brick at a Timeby sacredspiritComment: Jason, sorry I came into the "choose the photo above you" just after you did. I didn't want to skip you, and didn't want to inadvertantly get me a second viewing. So I went ahead and checked out your site.
I really like this shot. I love how the rough texture of the stones frame the velvety texture of the rose. I'm not too good at PP so I won't try to give thoughts on that. I do know what I like and why I like the shot ... so that's where I have decided to concentrtate my comments. The layout and cropping are extraordinary here. |
