Jane, you didn't iron these flowers very well ... they're wrinkly.
Actually, I really like that added texture. That beautiful mauve color and the bright pop of yellow really work incredibly well together.

Jane, I really really like the composition here:
--coming at an angle from the top ... pulling the eye right into the middle of the shot.
--the duplication of the stamens top and just below (at the diagonal).
--the dark background really plays the pink up.
--the icing on top of the cake ... the lovely water drops.

Wonderful imagination to come up with that title. Nice image. I agree that toning out the background a bit might help and I also think perhaps going without a border might work better too. Please bear in mind that if you try those you may disagree ... can't really tell until you give it a try.

You absolutely nailed the whites in the moon flower. Actually, in opposition to several others the arcing leaf does not bother me at all, if one looks closely you see arcing leaves below too (they're just not quite as bright).
