Sunflowerby kanoComment: Nice composition and color. The petals look like plastic. I wonder if noise reduction may have been used too heavily. |

Intel implosion marks end of an eraby srdanzComment: Very dramatic shot, and I like the contrast and tone. It is interesting that a building is being blown up when it looks like it was never completed in the first place. |

Forgive meby inspir8tionComment: This is a nice moment. In the best of worlds, I'd like the shot to be more to the right so that the lion heads fell more on the left 1/3 line rather in the middle, and I'd like to see the top of the right lion's head. The color, lighting, and focus are all good. |

Lostby Blue MoonComment: I love shooting children this age. It's like shooting wildlife -- you just wait, and they will do something charming or awful. I like the composition of this shot, and I don't mind the grain at all -- it seems appropriate for this image, which looks vintage. Congratulation on a score to be envied by all Team Suck members. |

U N C L E S A M W A N T S U Vby posthumousComment: I would like to have seen his feet, and if taken from a lower angle, his head and hat could have stood out against the sky instead of blending into the background. This is a fun shot though, and I see you took it from a car window. Should have stopped and gotten out. (Would-a, could-a, should-a -- very helpful -- not!) At this point I agree with Bob: color in the suit and balloons would spark things up. |

Primary Colorsby levyj413Comment: That guy in red has a lot of nerve entering that blue territory. The blue "gang" looks rather off-putting.
I really like the shot. The colors are great, the focus, light, and composition are excellent. There is interest in the subject matter. I don't know why it didn't score higher, maybe because it is too colorful for the average voters concept of street photography. I gave it a 7. Message edited by author 2007-03-02 07:47:23. |

Pear tree in winterby snafflesComment: Holy smokes, you should get some sort of special sucker for no comments at all. I guess no one cares about that gentle reminder to comment on the shots you are scoring lower than 4.
Anyway, I think this is a marvelous old tree, the voters should have had a little more respect for it. The focus seems a little soft, and there isn't anything else of interest in the shot. That may be why the score was low. |

Branchesby Renee_JordanComment: Very nice. Should have scored much higher. I think it meets the challenge very well. |
