Since the highlights are blown, I can hardly see the rice. And I don't think the added noise/grain adds to the effectiveness of the image. I like the composition of the bowl, spoon and drape.

It's hard to believe the commenters gave you 1s -- their comments seem so mild. But there's no denying they did. I think there has to be something terribly bad about a shot for it to deserve a 1. It's interesting to note that akcoffeeguy hasn't entered a challenge since 2002 and he votes very low (aver. vote cast 4.2).

I gave this a 6 because I like the bubbles. The focus and colors of the bubbles are excellent, and after all, the point of the challenge was circles.

Congratulations on this great score. I think the arrow pointing to outer space says something about "future". From a pure photographic standpoint, I really like the composition, and the focus, color, and light on the dial are good. The lighting as a whole seems a little dark for 15:25. I gave it 8.

Night Time

I think there are two things that may have hurt the score. First, it seems a little washed out to me. You might try increasing the contrast, or bump up the gamma just a little. Second, the description of the challenge was "Time keeps on slippin, slippin', slippin... into the future". I don't see much here to show the "slipping" or the "future". For the record, I gave it a 7. I like the composition.
